The President and Provost have delegated responsibilities for the implementation of equal employment opportunity and affirmative action programs and activities to the Director of the Diversity & Access Office who helps develop the University's Affirmative Action Plan, oversees its implementation, and reviews employee recruitment, hiring and other personnel actions. Our office also coordinates and monitors campus compliance with the requirements of federal and state non-discrimination laws, including providing guidance and evaluating efforts to improve equal employment, access to campus facilities and programs, as well as advising staff, faculty, and visitors regarding disability accommodations. Our office ensures compliance with (not limited to the following) Titles VI and VII of the Civil Rights Act, Equal Pay Act, Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Sections 503 and 504 of the Rehabilitation Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act and Executive Order 11,246, California Fair Employment and Housing Act (FEHA) and Unruh Civil Rights Act.
