Stanford University recognizes the importance of nursing and balancing the needs of parents and their infants. All members of the university community, including staff, students, postdoctoral scholars, and visitors, are welcome to use available lactation spaces on campus. A list of campus spaces that may be used for lactation and the contact information for each can be found on Cardinal at Work.
All Stanford-affiliated nursing parents are encouraged to register for the Stanford Lactation Support Program. Your feedback will help us to better understand how space is being utilized for nursing and pumping. Click here to register.
If you are a student or postdoctoral scholar, see
Graduate Academic Policies and Procedures 5.9: Pregnancy, Childbirth, Adoption and Lactation.
If you are an employee, information and resources are available on Cardinal at Work. The policy applicable to staff, faculty, academic staff, and other teaching staff can be found at Administrative Guide Memo 2.2.5: Requesting a Lactation Accommodation.
